Mitchells is encouraged that there is broader recognition for the full spectrum of benefits to be derived from the crucial role that language services can play in helping newcomers become engaged and contributing members of Canadian society.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe government has finally realized that the transition to a new country doesn\u2019t happen overnight and that language barriers are enormous,\u201d she said.\u00a0 \u201cWe need to assist individuals and groups as early as possible, and that\u2019s where CanTalk comes in\u2014by providing readily accessible interpretation support that works for all types of organizations.\u00a0 It\u2019s our way of helping newcomers adapt more easily, removing some of the stress that goes along with unfamiliar surroundings.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
